The United States has a vast horde of chemical and biological weapons stored throughout the nation, and to address this issue, they construct two destruction plants. The crews working in these plants are locked inside the buildings for three weeks straight with strict orders: if a spill happens and they cannot handle it, the crew is instructed not to try and escape the building, but instead to die in place.
A spill occurs, and the doctors attempt to escape the building after they disconnect the small nuclear sterilising device. A lone colonel infiltrates the building, entering the containment side to place a battery backup system on the nuclear device. If forced, he must set it off by hand, a mere ten inches away from his face.
