Djeran Djerup

The south-west of Western Australia is a place of beauty, with incredible wildlife, plants, trees, rivers, oceans, hills and, most importantly, it’s a place that Mika and Meero call home. For these two young Noongar siblings, this is Boodja (country). Boodja is bush, school; it’s to be explored. It's fun, it’s scary and, if you want to get anywhere, it’s to be walked.

As Mika and Meero travel with their family inland, they come to realise they have a lot to learn and a lot to overcome if they’re going to keep up with the wonders of their culture.
