The Afterlives of Tamil Tigers

The Afterlives of Tamil Tigers is based on fifteen years of in-depth ethnography among the Sri Lankan Tamil community in Paris, complemented by a series of field investigations in Sri Lanka and London.

The book seeks to understand how a revolutionary organisation attempts to produce its members. It also examines the impact of this self-making on the fighters' life trajectories, focusing particularly on their ways of thinking, acting, and feeling.
